Young & Middle Adults Living by Faith

Understanding Faith

The Word of God says in Hebrews 11:6 -But without faith it is impossible to please God.

So as you say: Let’s just get real. If you do not have any intentions of Pleasing God, then maybe it’s not everybody else’s fault when it comes to church.

Now there are some things going on in some churches that are not right. But Hebrews 11:6 says what pleases God, not pleases you and not pleases the church.

The Word of God also says in 2 Corinthians 5:7 -We walk (Live) by Faith. So since we are being real then let’s keep it real: You can not live by everything else other than faith for 6 days in a week and then expect God to do something spiritually with you on the 7th day (Sunday). Now be for Real!

Just as some Young & Middle Adults leave the church because they do not like pretenders, they should not be what they accuse other people to be. Don’t Pretend (Act Like) you spent time with God all week if you have not. Because your Sunday Morning Worship Experience is a celebration of the accumulation of time you spend with God for the last 6 days.

Just ask a married woman. You went all week and have not said a word to me and now just because it’s the weekend you want to snuggle and get all close? Not!

What is Faith?

Faith is the belief in the truth of what is real for what the physical eye can not see. And faith in God is Trusting in Him, Believing in Him, Depending on Him and Relying on Him even though you can not see Him with your physical eye. But it must be totally.

*Living by faith is not just for the older people of God.

How much do you Trust God? If God says you can do something, do you trust Him enough to believe that you can do it? Before you answer that question, I hope you are still keeping it real (Truthful) before you answer.

Because when God tells you to do something and you do not do it, you are saying to God “I am not doing that”. Now I still expect you to bless me, but “I am still not going to do it”. And please do not pretend like you did not know what God said for you to do. Just because you believe you will start doing it when you get older.

Here is another important thing you should know about faith: Romans 12:3 -God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Why is this important, because the first part of this verse says, do not think you are better than you really are. But measure (Evaluate) yourself by the amount of faith that God has given you.

The amount of faith that God has given you.

Look at this, if faith is the belief in the truth of what is real for what the physical eye can not see. God has given you a measure (certain amount) of faith. And you do not need more faith, just strengthen and build on the measure of faith that God has already given you.

Now for Young & Middle Adult Christians please do not expect this understanding of faith to be put in a hip hop rap or down to earth way for your understanding. God knows your ability to understand, He should, He gave it to you.

Some things of God lose their meaning in the mix when you add flavor to it. You can not add flavor to faith and expect for faith to do what it do.

What does all of this have to do with church? Without the right faith connection with God, coming into His House to be in His Presence just will not happen. You can come to church and sing your heart out and the preacher lay hands on you, you might get a good emotional experience, But without faith it is impossible to please God, In His House and in His Presence.

Young & Middle Adults, for church to mean anything to you and for church to be good for you, you have got to learn how to live by faith. And to live by faith you have got to understand how faith works.

Here is another important thing about faith. Romans 10:17 – So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. Faith comes by hearing the message (Good News) about Jesus Christ.

If you do not want to hear it (Word of God) and if you do not have time for it (Word of God), no faith, no connection with God and no purpose for coming to His church. Some Young & Middle Adults come to church anyway to get their praise on. But praise on, praise off just the way the devil likes it.

How Does Faith Work:

Galatians 5:6 -says; Faith works through Love. Faith works (through) Love, but Love works (by) Faith. Faith is an activator (doer), but Love is the motivator (mover).

So without faith it is impossible to please God, but without Love my Faith can not and will not work. The Word of God teaches you to love everybody, but actually you can not honestly love some people except you love them by faith.

Faith also gives you what you need to meet with victory the many challenges in life to do what the word of God says to do even in the midst of adversity.

Faith is acting on what you believe. Acting on what you believe will change your circumstances. Believing something and not acting on it will not change your circumstances. So faith can and will change your circumstances.

Faith requires action (activator, to do). And the action is to put what you believe into operation. Or operate in what you believe.

Faith works by producing results. When operating in faith, many things in life will not have an immediate result. Some things take time, because growth is part of the process. But you have to be and stay committed and allow faith to run its course and in due time you will experience the results of your faith.

In the midst of hard times keep the faith. Who you believe in and what you believe in is greater that the devil and all the obstacles that he puts in your way of living.

Then you should also be knowledgeable of James 1:3 -Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Your faith must be tested for the same reason and purpose that you are tested for various other things. Pass the drivers test before you drive. Pass the academic test before you complete the class. Pass the exam test before getting a new job.

If all these test prove that you are ready and able to operate in these various areas, then it is by the testing (Proving) of your faith that you can truly Operate in Faith and more important Live by Faith.

Living by faith is a Lifestyle and not an on and off event at your convince. You can do it, because God says you can to it. So just do It!
