The Book of Revelation

The Key to understanding the Book of Revelation is found in (Revelation 1:10) - I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet. John is saying, that the only way you can understand the things that he is talking about in the Book of Revelation, is for you to be in the Same Spirit, (Holy Spirit of God) that he was in as he was showed these things.

Paul says to Timothy in (II Timothy 2:15) - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The plan that Jesus Christ gave to John, to give to us, is to Rightfully Divide the Book of Revelation.

It is from Jesus Christ:
Who Was, Who Is and Who Is To Come

(Revelation 1:4) - John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Notice John was told to write these "Three" distinctive things:

            1.    The Things Thou Saw - Revelation 1:1-20

            2.    The Things Which Is Now - Revelation 2:1 - 3:22

            3.     The Things Which Shall Be Hereafter - Revelation 4:1-22:20

The Bible is not written in a systematic way. Yet it teaches Theology, Morals, History and Science. It is a Book of the Revelation of God, the Fall of Man and the Way of Salvation. Salvation is God's Plan to Save Lost Men, Women, Boys and Girls. This Prophetic Word teaches of Heaven, Earth and Hell.

The Book of Revelation is the Last Book of the Bible. It is an Apocalyptic Prophetic of Future Hope. It teaches that the Believer must be Faithful unto Death. The Book of Revelation teaches of a Glorious World to come. There will be no more Death, Pain, Sorrow or Crying.

The Book of Revelation is also a revelation about Jesus Christ. (Revelation 1:1) -The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

We must avoid three things in "Rightly Dividing the Word of God":

The Misinterpretation of Scripture

        The Misapplication of Scripture

                    The Dislocation of Scripture

I Want to be in that Number

What Number are you talking about? I hope you are not talking about that Number that John said no Man can Number. And I hope you are not talking about that Number of 144,000 or the 200,000,000 Number.

I found too many Christians have a serious misunderstanding of being included in a Number or group of people from their own misunderstanding or even a misinterpretation of Scripture by a Preacher or a Teacher.

We the Born Again, Believers in Jesus Christ that have accepted Him as Our Personal Savior, will not be in the:

Number no man can number(Revelation 7:9) – This is the additional number of people that John saw after the 144,000. Who they are and where they came from is found in verse #14. Those who came out of the Great Tribulation.

We will not be in the Great Tribulation. This is one of the Benefits of going to be with Christ at his 2nd Coming. So this can not be us.

Number of 144,000(Revelation 7:4) – 12,000 Sealed Servants of God from each of the 12 Tribes of the Children of Israel.

We are not members of the Tribes of Israel. So this can not be us.

Number of 200,000,000(Revelation 9:16) – This is the army of demonic horsemen of supernatural power that will kill men with fire, smoke and brimstone during the Great Tribulation.

We will not be in the Great Tribulation and these horsemen are not of human power. So this can not be us.

Number of 10,000 x 10,000 x 1,000’s(Revelation 5:11) – This group is described in verse #11 as the Heavenly Host of Angels.

Hebrews 12:1 describes the number of Angels as a cloud of Witnesses. This number of Angels with the Beast and Elders are seated around the Throne. So this can not be us.

Remember this, when Jesus Christ comes back, a number of people will go to be with Him forever more. That’s the only number I’ll be in.

The 2 Preachers

The 2 Preachers, Preaching in the Streets: Revelation 11: 3-13

This is another future event that is greatly misunderstood by many Christians. They think that Jesus will take all but these 2 Preachers in the Rapture and they will be left here for the purpose of Last Chance Salvation for everyone who missed the Rapture.

The best description for these two Preachers will be "Witnesses". Because that is what they will be doing for the Almighty God. These two Witnesses are also referred to as Prophets, Preachers, Evangelists and Messengers.

The reason for two Witnesses (Preaches) is because the Bible requires the testimony of two people to confirm a fact or verify truth.

The biggest question about these two Witnesses (Preachers), that has also been interpreted many different ways is, who are these two Witnesses (Preachers).

We want to know their names!

The Book of Revelation "does not give their names", but by process of relating to past events, some Bible Scholars have come to a conclusion that they are Moses and Elijah. These are some of their ideas:

Moses and Elijah’s previous experience with fire and other plagues to call for repentance. Elijah called down fire from heaven and pronounced a three-and-one-half-year drought on the land, the same length as the drought brought by the two witnesses (Revelation 11:6). Moses turned the waters of the Nile into blood and announced the other plagues on Egypt.

Jewish tradition expected Moses and Elijah to return in the future. Malachi 4:5 predicted the return of Elijah, and the Jews believed that God promised to raise up a prophet like Moses (Deuteronomy 18:15, 18).

Both Moses and Elijah (perhaps representing the Law and the Prophets) appeared with Christ at the Transfiguration, the preview of the Second Coming (Matthew 17:3).

Both Moses and Elijah left the earth in unusual ways. Elijah never died, but was transported to heaven in a fiery chariot (2 Kings 2:11–12), and God supernaturally buried Moses’ body in a secret location (Deuteronomy 34:5, 6  Jude 9).

The Book of Revelation does not specifically identify these two preachers, therefore their identity, must remain speculation.

In addition to Preaching the Gospel, these two Preachers will proclaim God’s judgment on the wicked world. During that period, they will declare that the disasters befalling the world are the judgments of God.

They will Preach the Gospel calling people into Repentance and Faith in Jesus Christ.

This is the Scripture Outline for these two Witness (Preachers):

Revelation 11:3–13

Their Duty 11:3a

Their Attitude 11:3b

Their Identity 11:4

Their Power 11:5-6

Their Death 11:7-10

Their Resurrection 11:11-12

Their Impact 11:13

Important facts about this event:

These two Preachers will be "Exceptional and Powerful" because they will be "FEARLESS".

They will Preach and keep on Preaching while millions of people will be slaughtered.

They will Preach and keep on Preaching while causing death and destruction to people and the earth.

They will Preach and keep on Preaching while countless demons run loose, rampant and wild.

These will be two "Faithful" Preachers!

These two Preachers have Power to destroy anyone who try’s to Stop them from Preaching:

They will have Power to spew Fire from their mouth to incinerate people who try to stop them from Preaching the Gospel.

They will have Power to close up the skies, cut off the rain. No rain to put out the Fire, no rain to water the crops will mean widespread devastation of crops and loss of human and animal life through thirst and starvation.

They will have Power to turn lakes, rivers, oceans, ponds, water falls and single buckets of water into blood.

They will strike the earth with every plague possible. Moses only used ten plagues. These two Preachers will have unlimited plagues.

The two Preachers are Killed after Preaching the Gospel:

They are protected by God until His purpose is achieved.

They will be "HATED" universally because of the death and destruction that they will cause.

Sinful men will unsuccessfully try to get rid of them, but they will die trying.

These two Preachers will not be "assassinated" (murder by sudden or secret attack) as so many Ministers are saying today.

Revelation 11:7 – The Beast shall make war with them, over come them and then kill them. War means a fight and overcome means to lose the fight.

Only "God will allow" the two Preaches to be killed by the Beast.

The Beast will come up out of the Abyss, the deep prison for demons.

The Beast will be empowered by Satan.

The Beast will be energized by the demonic power coming from the Abyss.

The two Preacher’s Dead Rotting Bodies lay in the Street for three and one-half Days:

Because of deep "HATE", the world will not permit their dead bodies to be buried.

Exposing an enemy’s dead body in the public, was the ultimate way of dishonoring and desecrating them.

People from all over the world will see these two Preachers dead bodies lying in the street by means of (satellite television and visual media).

Unrepentant and sin-hardened people all over the world will cheer their Leader, the Beast for getting rid of these two irritating Preachers that brought death and destruction while proclaiming the Gospel.

Masses of people world wide will rejoice, celebrate and even give each other gifts for the victory of the Beast over the two Preachers.

The two Preacher’s Dead Bodies receive life again and then they are taken up to Heaven:

This will be God’s way of saying to the world, now that I have your attention!

After breathing life back into their bodies, God will stand the two Preachers up on their feet and the celebrating will stop suddenly.

The people will then think two things, we thought we were rid of them and now they will start Preaching and destroying once again.

But their job will be done, their testimony complete, their mission accomplished and most important God’s purpose achieved and His Will Done.

While the world of enemies are watching, God will call these two Preachers up to Heaven.

The Rapture

The Rapture is the process revealed to us in God’s Word, as to how Jesus Christ will come back and take the Saints (Believers in Him), (Dead and Alive), to live forever with Him, by way of Eternal / Everlasting Life.

The Jews that are still alive shall not be taken in the Rapture:

Jeremiah 30:4-9 – The Jews shall go through Jacob’s trouble (the great tribulation). But the Lord shall save them out of it. This will happen after the Rapture.

Ezekiel 37:15-28 – The Jews shall be brought back together as one Nation. The Lord will then establish an everlasting covenant with them. This will happen after the Rapture.

Ezekiel 20:34-38 / 22:19-22 – The Jews who rejected Jesus Christ, will judged for their rejection of the Godhead. This will happen after the Rapture.

Isaiah 43:5-6 / Jeremiah 16:15, 24:7 – The Jews shall be restored to their own land and become a nation again. This will happen after the Rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 - For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

A simple way of understanding the Rapture is "Separated and Caught Up". The separation will be based on Salvation and the caught up will be based upon Christ’s way of receiving us from the earth without coming down to the earth.

This next Passage of Scripture is very important in understanding how the "Dead" and the "Living" have Life, in Christ:

John 11:25-26 - Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

When Jesus Christ comes back, those who have already died and accepted Him as their Personal Savior are called the "Dead in Christ".

Also when Jesus Christ comes back, those who are still alive and have already accepted Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior (before he came back) will be called the "Living Saints".

So when Jesus Christ comes back, at the Rapture:

The "Dead in Christ" will be Resurrected (raised from the dead).

The "Living Saints" will be Translated or Transformed (changed).

Together the "Resurrected Dead and the Changed Living" Saints will meet Jesus Christ in the Air. Everyone that has not accepted Jesus Christ as their "Personal Savior" at that time will "Be Left Behind".

The Rapture will be a Surprise because Jesus Christ will come as a Thief in the night: Matthew 24:42-44 / Revelation 16:15.

* A Thief makes no announcement of his coming Jesus Christ will not make an announcement of His coming

*A Thief does not take everything (only things that are precious) Jesus Christ will only take the Precious Saints

*A Thief moves quickly, not disturbing others Jesus Christ will not even wake up the person next to the Saint

*A Thief does not take trash or broken items Jesus Christ will not take the Wicked or the Masses of Heathens

The Rapture will not only separate the Saints from the Unbelievers, but husbands from wives, brothers from sisters and friends from friends: Luke 17:34-36: Two will be………., One will be taken.

The Time period of the Rapture will be to fast to figure out what is Happening, but after it Happens, you’ll know what Happened: 1 Corinthians 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. "Too fast to see or think"

The Rapture will happen all over the earth at the same time, not country by country like some people think.

Some who are alive (not in Christ) who will be sleeping at the time of the Rapture will be awaken by a startling sound. They will run to the windows to see what is happening. Others will wake up the next morning to find friends and love ones missing and "Gone Forever".

At the Rapture, People will be looking for People. Around the house, stores, banks, sport areas. People will be missing and apparently disappeared off of the face of the earth.

The biggest problem at the Rapture for those left behind will be, the sudden disappearance of airline pilots, train engineers, bus drivers and people driving millions of cars on the streets all over the world.

The biggest surprise at the Rapture will be, seeing the so called big time Christians and Ministers that will be left behind. Matthew 7:21-23.

At the Rapture, people left behind will become more hardened, wicked, mean and bitter. Now they are really Mad. No more Holy Spirit, no more Salt in the earth, means rapid degeneration. The earth will lose more control of crime, because the people who made a difference will be gone.

The Resurrection

Rising to Life after Death or Overcoming Death by Rising again. To reveal that which was hidden.

It is the Teaching and Doctrine of events, relating to the act of God, on persons being brought from the dead to a never ending Life.

The Greek term for Resurrection is Anastasis – Literally means to stand again in the world.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ: The appearance of Jesus of Nazareth, in His Living Body after Death and Burial, provided us with a clear Doctrine of our own coming Resurrection.

John 11:25 - Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Resurrection is clearly the most important reality of the Christian Faith. Since the Christian knows from the Word of God, that death will come, then life after death must be understood before we die.

No Soul is alienated from death and all Souls will be resurrected.

Unsaved Souls are brought back to Life in the Resurrection for the purpose of being brought to Judgment, and then sent to a Final Death.

The Bible teaches about three kinds of Resurrections:

Type: National Resurrection
Meaning: Raise up a Nation and give it Life
Scripture: Hosea 6:1, 2
Reason: Israel shall be Resurrected (Raised up as a Nation).

It is exclusively for the Jewish Nation (People) and the entire Twelve Tribes of Israel. Hosea 6:1-3, Israel says come and let us return to the Lord and He will revive us, raise us up and we shall live in His sight. The Nation Israel must be back in their Land for this Resurrection.

Type: Spiritual Resurrection
Meaning: We were Spiritually Dead in Sin
Scripture: Ephesians 2:1-6, 5:14 / Romans 6:11
Reason: Believers, through Christ are Resurrected (Life in Christ).

Type: Physical Resurrection
Meaning: Physically Raised from the Dead
Scripture: John 5:28, 29 / Acts 24:15
Reason: The grave is not a permanent place of resting.

The grave is a place were the dead physical body is placed and soon to deteriorate. (The Soul will be raised as Righteous or Wicked) The righteous shall receive a Glorified Body.

Because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, He will also raise Christians to Eternal Life. Christ’s resurrection is a foundation of the Christian Faith - Roman 6:4-10 / John 11:25 / 1 Corinthians 15:12-21.

There are three main Physical Resurrections:

Type: First Fruit Resurrection
Who: Jesus Christ
Reason: Resurrected First of the Harvest of Believers
Scripture: Matthew 27: 52-53 / 1 Corinthians 15:20, 23

Type: 1st Resurrection
Who: Those who died in Christ
Reason: Judgment Seat of Christ
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 / 1Thessalonians 4:16-17

Type: 2nd Resurrection
Who: Those who died not in Christ -Wicked Dead (Unsaved)
Reason: Great White Throne Judgment
Scripture: John 5:29b / Revelation 20:5a

God did take two Old Testament Figures from the Earth "Before their Death", Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:9)

When I Get To Heaven!

Go to Heaven to Sit at Jesus Feet all day. Sit around Heaven all day.

Walk around Heaven all day. Get to Heaven and find rest for my Soul. Please check your Bible.

Itinerary (travel plans) for the Saints after the Rapture:

Please keep this in mind:

At the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ when we meet him in the Air, there is no Scripture reference that indicates from that point on, that we will be anywhere other than where Christ is. We will "Forever More" be with Christ. After the Rapture, "Where he goes, We go". So this is what is going to happen:

1. Dead in Christ will raise first: 1 Thessalonians 4:16

2. Remaining Saints will be changed and then caught up in the clouds with the raised dead (Reunion): 1 Thessalonians 4:17a

3. Together, Christ will meet us in the Air: 1 Thessalonians 4:17b

4. Move on in the air and appear before The Bema (Judgment Seat of Christ): 2 Corinthians 5:10 / Romans 14:10

5. Leave the Judgment Seat of Christ and move to the Marriage Feast (Marriage Supper): Revelation 19:7-9

6. We then return to the Mount of Olives with Christ: Zechariah 14:4-5 Acts 1:10-12 Colossians 3:4 / 1 Thessalonians 3:13

7. We then go to take part in the Judgment of the Nations: Matthew 25:31-46 / 1 Corinthians 6:2

8. We then go to Rule with Christ in the Millennium: 2 Timothy 2:12 / Revelation 5:10 / Revelation 20:6

9. We will then return to Heaven with Christ, while the Earth is Renovated with Fire: 2 Peter 3:10-13 / Revelation 21:1

10. We shall then return with Christ and enter into the New Jerusalem: Revelation 21:10-27

At the Rapture we can then say: We are On Our Way!

Judgment Day

No Judgment "Day". But periods of time for different Judgments. Judgment Day is not a day of twenty four hours, but a period of time extending from Calvary to the last Judgment of the Great White Throne for the Wicked Sinners.

The "Places" of Judgments will take place in different parts of the Universe: Notice the location of the following three Judgments:

Place: "In the Air"
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:10
Judgment: Judgment Seat of Christ for the Believers

Place: "On the Earth"
Scripture: Matthew 25:31.32
Judgment: Judgment of the Nations for the Sheep and Goats

Place: "In Heaven"
Scripture: Revelation 20:11, 12
Judgment: Great White Throne Judgment for the Wicked Dead

There are "Five" Separate Judgments:

Judgment Seat of Christ

(The Bema) - The Judgment of Believers for their "Works" 2 Corinthians 5:10 / 1 Corinthians 3:11-15

Also called: Judgment of Rewards which is the time that Christ will be passing out Rewards (Crowns).

Reward: Incorruptible Crown
Description: The Victor’s Crown
Meaning: Those Faithful to the Lord’s Work and avoided Lust and Drugs
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9:25-27

Reward: Crown of Life
Description: The Martyr’s Crown
Meaning: Those Faithful unto Death especially during trouble
Scripture: Revelation 2:10

Reward: Crown of Glory

Meaning: Pastor’s that Fed the Flock of God
Scripture: 1 Peter 5:2-4

Reward: Crown of Righteousness
Description: Those who Love His Appearing
Meaning: Those who Love His Appearing
Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:8

Reward: Crown of Rejoicing
Description: The Soul Winner’s Crown

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

The Judgment of the Nations

Matthew 25:31-46

These are the non-Jewish People (Gentiles) that were not taken in the Rapture.

Sheep: Nations (countries) – Those who became friends and did what they could to help the Jews.

Goats: Nations (countries) – Those who mistreated, neglected and misused the Jews.

This is going on right now, take a look around!

When Jesus Christ returns, He will sit upon the Throne of His Glory and separate the Sheep Nations from the Goat Nations.

The Jews are the Brothers of Jesus Christ, be careful how you treat them!

The 3rd Coming of Christ

Coming: His First
Scripture: Luke 2:11
Place: Earth - Bethlehem
Reason: Born as a Child (flesh and blood)

Coming: His Second
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
Place: Air - Clouds
Reason: Rapture of the Saints

Coming: His Third
Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8
Place: Earth – Mt. of Olives
Reason: Revelation of Jesus Christ

Binding and Releasing of Satan

Another misunderstood event that some Christians have, is concerning the Binding, Releasing and Destruction of Satan.

Satan is Hostile to God, and he is constantly working to overthrow the purposes of God. Satan is consistently engaged in activities against the best interests of men.

Before his Fall, Satan was the "The Anointed Cherub that Covereth". He "Was" the Guardian of the "Throne of God". But he let a good position go to his head.

Right now today, Satan is Loose, coming and going, here there and everywhere. Ephesians 2:2 says he is the Prince of the Power of the Air.

God is responsible for Satan’s present day freedom. And according to Job, with all of his Power, Satan can do nothing without God’s allowance. No matter what happens, God is still in control of the Universe.

But at God’s appointed time:

Satan will be Bound (Bottomless Pit/1000 years) – Revelation 20:1-3

Satan will be Loosed (Deceive the Nations) – Revelation 20:7

Satan will have a Last Stand (Gog, Magog ) – Revelation 20:7-10

Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire (Destroyed) – Revelation 20:10

The Underworld

Many people have heard of Hell, but not all of these people are aware of the fact, that Hell is only "a temporary holding place" located in what we call the Underworld.

Let’s take a look at what is located in the Underworld:

Name: Tartarus
Scripture: 2 Peter 2:4 / Jude 6
Purpose: Prison of the Fallen Angels

Name: Abyss
Scripture: Revelation 20:1-3
Purpose: Bottomless Pit (Holding place)

Name: Hell
Scripture: Revelation 1:18 / 20:13-14
Purpose: Temporary place for Wicked Sinners

Name: Lake of Fire
Scripture: Matthew 25:41 / Revelation 19:20 / 20:10,14-15
Purpose: Final place of Eternal Destruction (Fire and Brimstone)

Everything that is sent to the "Lake of Fire" is "Doomed": Everything in the Lake of Fire shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10

In the Lake of Fire:

Sinners Doomed – Revelation 20:15

Satan Doomed – Revelation 20:10

Antichrist (Beast) Doomed – Revelation 19:20

Antispirit (False Prophet) Doomed – Revelation 19:20

Revelation 17:3-5
And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations.
Do You Know What This Means?
